Horse Riding

Portumna has some of the best horse riding facilities with many trails to be explored as well as point to point courses and lessons for both the beginner and the seasoned veterans that want to get back into it or improve their skills.

Shooting & Fishing

For over twenty years we have been catering for both shooting and fishing groups.

Fishing groups can come with their own boat or we can arrange weekend or week long trips with boat and gear rental. Lough Derg has some of the best fishing grounds in the country. We would gladly cook whatever you catch for your dinner that evening if desired or alternatively it can be frozen for you to take home at the end of your stay.

As we have a shooting licence for groups we can provide a full weekend or week's activity. From dogs to guides we provide our guests with everything they need to make sure they enjoy themselves in our unique part of the country.
Biking
Whether it is road cycling or a more leisurely cycle along the cycle routes of the area; there are miles to discover. Packed lunches are available and with dinner in our intimate restaurant you can just sit back and relax before you do it all again the following day.
Walking
With acres and acres of forest parks to explore you never know what you might come across along the way.
Golfing
Portumna Golf course is an excellent 18 hole course with some stunning views and equally stunning holes. Alternatively there is pitch and putt if it is just a practice of your short game you are after.
